Anyone who wants to study abroad in Korea must obtain a student visa from a Korean Embassy or Consulate in their country of origin. This can be obtained only after preparing all the required documents to enter Korea, including an admission letter. They type of visa required differs according to what kind of course will be taken.
College applicants must email the following documents themselves or agencies: D-4-6 Visa(Professional educations in the specialized training such as fashion, beauty, maintenance, manufacturing technology, etc. for expats at vocational ability development training corporations or lifelong education institute for vocational skill fields. Also, expats who are applying for D-4-6 Visa need to be educated by the domestic listed companies or a partner institutes with a specialized technical education, a specialized technical education institute affiliated with universities, a domestic branch office of a well-known professional institute headquartered overseas with a dormitory for expats trainees), and these prints: standard admission letter, copy of business license, and training plan after their tuition payment are fully made for a semester.
It must be checked in prior with Korean diplomatic offices in their country of origin as the period(at least 2 weeks to 2 month at most) of visa issuance process differs according to nations. The valid Language Training Visa(D-4-1) period will be according to the registration period, Applicants are allowed to extend their staying in Korea if they continue studying in school as long as 2 years.
Except for those students with Korean nationality or those from a country possibly to enter Korea without visa or with D-2 or F visa, are permitted to take Korean language training or general training courses with an agreement from the school counselors in advance.
According to Immigration laws, some applicants are allowed to register for classes without changing their staying status whereas, those must change their status with D-4 visa; however, there is a possibility their staying status can be disabled, all applicants must check out their status with the school counselors in advance.
