Interview with KoreaIT Students
What motivated you to enroll in Korea IT College despite being a university graduate?
I went on to the law department with the aim of becoming a police officer, and my thesis theme for my bachelor`s graduation at that time was `the ability to witness CCTV video`, which was a big issue in the`Gomtang restaurant Sexual Harassment Case`. In the process of data collection, I became interested in digital evidence and cyber investigations, and the goal of grafting the dreams of the police in the coming information age was created, leading to a new challenge.
What is the most helpful part of your school work? What do you think is the strength of our school?
Practical education seems to have been the most helpful. In fact, while working in the company, I dealt with a lot of tools and programs that I used in school. It was nice to see things I didn`t want to see at school. Also, I believe that our school`s greatest competitiveness is `AWS education`. Being able to deal with AWS in practice has become a huge specification. As the cloud market continues to attract attention in recent years, cloud security is also attracting attention, and the contents of the school education have helped a lot in practical education.
What did you consider most important while in school?
`Let`s not give up classes rather than good grades`, which I repeated countless times over the past two years. For me, who majored in law, information security was a very difficult field to get acquainted with. When I was in first grade, I cried at a slow pace to learn, and sometimes I wanted to give up. However, thanks to the motives who worked closely with the professors who encouraged me, more and more things appeared about information security, and I was able to get to graduation safely with the mind of `don`t run away, even if it's not good grades`.
Please describe in detail what you are currently working for at the company.
I mainly work for educational institutions or public institutions. My job is to maintain integrated security such as vulnerability diagnosis, security equipment, system, malicious e-mail simulation training, and personal information access record management.
Do you have any stories you would like to tell new students/enrolled students?
"Direction rather than speed", it was thanks to this sentence that I was able to take on a new challenge in the conflict between employment and dreams after graduation from a four-year program. If you compare at the pace of others, it is difficult to find what you really want in an endless comparison, and eventually you will get acquainted with the passion you started with. I hope that I can achieve my desired goal without giving up until the end, based on`There is nothing I can`t do because a person is born!`,`My values` and`direction`.
